SmithCorp Ltd is a large group of companies that specialise in the education sector. They contacted us with a request to design a bespoke development programme that would uplift the leadership capabilities of their business leaders and fast track the development and cohesiveness of them as a team.

The 5-day development programme focused on cutting edge approaches to leadership and their application, building on work that had been done inhouse over the previous 12 months.

The essence of the approach used was to provide participants with an opportunity to apply the theory and models in a practical way and to receive immediate feedback from each application. Participants were tasked with completing various outdoor problem-solving exercises and outdoor activities. These tasks required consideration to be given to team members’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as the application of previous and, recently learned models.
